Hi, I'm Laura, the founder of Olive My Skin. Growing up with sensitive skin was no easy feat, especially as a teenage girl unable to indulge in makeup or department store skincare. My sister and I turned our kitchen into a mini laboratory, concocting potions with oats, bananas, honey, teas—whatever we could find. This was long before the internet, but we were resourceful and determined.

I've always had a crafty streak, and that hasn't changed. After college, a career in IT, marriage, and three wonderful children, I accidentally stumbled into creating Olive My Skin. Still making my own skincare, but with a grown-up twist, my sister and I decided to set up a booth at a firehouse craft show. To my surprise, people loved it!

I spent years on the craft show circuit before opening my own shop. Life threw a few curveballs—like a divorce—but I restarted the business and have been going strong ever since. The world of business is ever-changing, but I've been lucky enough to adapt and thrive. It hasn't always been easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is. I truly love what I do!

When I'm not running my business, you'll find me traveling and exploring new places—I'm a big foodie and love experiencing different cultures. Dogs are my absolute favorite companions, and being near water, whether it's the ocean, a lake, or simply paddling in my kayak, is my ultimate happy place.
